The ηL(1410) component of the η(1440) pseudoscalar has strong affinity for glue. But its mass is incompatible with lattice simulations that predict a much higher value for the 0 glueball. As a consequence it has been suggested that ηL(1410) could signal physics beyond the Standard Model. The η ′ which is an SU(3) F singlet state can contain a pure gluon component , gluonium. We examine this possibility by analysing all available experimental data. It is pointed out that the η ′ gluonic component may be as large as 26%. We also show that the amplitude for J/ψ → η ′ γ decay obtains a notable contribution from gluonium.

We study the properties of the light pseudoscalar mesons in a three flavor chiral quark model with nonlocal separable interactions. We concentrate on the evaluation of meson masses and decay constants, considering both the cases of Gaussian and Lorentzian nonlocal regulators.
